The Konica AR 4/70-150mm was a pretty small short tele zoom replacing the previous AR 4/65-135mm. It's part of a group of largely forgotten shot telezoom in that range, e. g. the Canon nFD 4.5//70-150mm, the Mamiya Sekor E 3.8/70-150mm, the Minolta MD 4/75-150mm, the Nikon E 3.5/70--150mm and the Olympus Zuiko OM 4/75-150mm. While the latter is one of the worst OEM zooms I'm aware of, the Minolta is outstanding, and the Canon and the the Nikon are very good as well. The Konica is somwhere in between - certainly not bad, but not as good as the Minolta and the Canon. Its big advantage is the MFD of only 0.8 m - compared to the Nikon and Mamiya at 1.0 m, the Minolta at 1.2 m and the Canon at 1.5 m. In addition the AR 4/70-150mm is quite a bit smaller than the Nikon and Canon counterparts. It also has a quite complex optical formula (15 lenses in 12 elemnts).
